Head to Lancaster during the Easter holidays for a jam packed family day out. No matter what day you choose to visit us there is guaranteed to be lots of Easter themed activities on to keep you and your family entertained. Here are a few of our top Easter event picks…

 

1)

Alice in Wonderland Easter Panto at Lancaster Grand – 26 March

Alice is enjoying her picnic when she sees the most curious of sights: a white rabbit talking to himself. Following the rabbit down a rabbit hole, Alice finds herself in the fantastical Wonderland, inhabited by the dame: Duchess Dolly, the bonkers Mad Hatter, the evil The Queen of Hearts and her henchmen Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee. Will Alice find her way back? Or will she find true love in Wonderland? All will be revealed at Lancaster Grands Easter Pantomime…

Easter Egg Hunt at Williamson Park – throughout the Easter holidays

An Easter Egg Hunt…with a wild twist. Can you guess which animals lay eggs and which don’t? You might be surprised! Grab a worksheet from the shop throughout the Easter holidays and find the answers on your way around the zoo.

Minibeast Hunt at Williamson Park – 29 March

Go along and search for the new signs of spring life emerging in the woodland. You may even find some surprises left by the Easter Bunny along the way…

 

4)

The BIG Easter Event –  29 March

Lancaster BID is holding a day of hopping good fun at the Big Easter Event. Head to Market Square and see a Rabbit and her friends Bluebird and Deer, doing wonderful aerial performances throughout the day as well the opportunity to have your photo taken with furry friends, there will be Easter themed arts and crafts from Creation Station and at the library as well as face painting and fairground rides.

Easter Extravaganza at Lancaster Castle – 31st March

Join ‘Step into the Story’ as they return to Lancaster Castle with their Easter Extravaganza! Children and families will be entertained when they join Tweet the Chick on her adventure as she goes in search of Easter surprises. Meet Airy, the Woodland Fairy, Farmer Ed, and his potting Shed, and of course Easter wouldn’t be complete without the loveable Easter Bunny.

Marketgate Easter Egg Hunt – 31st March

Join Marketgate Shopping Centre and hunt down the hidden egg symbols in store windows to be in with a chance of winning. Pick up an entry form from the workshop. Plus decorate an Easter basket for free.

 

7)

Easter Cracking Crafts Session – 1-2 April

Head to Williamson Park and create cracking crafts on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Bunny masks, hand-print chicks, and more between 11am and 1pm in the Education Room.
