English Civil War Revisited

To arms! Step back to a turbulent time in Lancasters history as the English Civil War returns – from the towns brave defenders to the castles stout walls keeping plundering Royalists at bay!

The Earl of Manchesters Regiment of Foote of the Sealed Knot reenactment society will be garrisoning the Castle and giving the family the chance to experience what life was like in 1643 as King Charles and Parliament fought for control of the country.

Witness live weapons demonstrations, talk to the soldiers, and see how people lived in the 17th Century in a superb educational day out for young and old alike.
