1 day of family fun this half term in Lancaster

Head to Lancaster for a day this February half term. The city has lots to keep the kids entertained, here are some ideas on how to keep them busy…

9am- Start off your day the right way and take a trip to the ALEX (formerly Juicafe) for a fruity smoothie or Milkshake. ALEX is a family run business offering fresh food and drink especially for you. A super fun treat for the kids is they can pick their own fruit for the smoothie or even better get their favourite chocolate bar melted into a hot chocolate.

10am- Make your way to Williamson Park 54 acres of beautiful parkland with enchanting woodland walks, play areas and breath-taking views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. The perfect place to sit back and relax while the kids let off some steam in the outdoors. The park also features a Butterfly House and resident meerkats, mini beasts and birds. Check out a range of half term activities.

12pm- While you’re at the park pop into the Pavilion Café for some lunch. They offer a range of hot and cold food and a reasonably priced children’s menu for the little ones.

1pm- Head back into the City Centre and pop into Lancaster Maritime Museum. Discover more about Lancaster’s past from the Romans to the present day. The Museum regularly offer events and activities for families which is a bonus if it lands on a day when you visit. Check out workshops scheduled for February half term.

3pm- It’s time to jump, climb, slide, swing and explore at Energy indoor soft play centre inside Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. The latest and most exciting soft play centre in the Lancaster district.  And its only £4 per child!
