Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. Today it is practiced in various forms around the world and continues to grow in popularity.

Friday 21st June is #InternationalDayofYoga a great opportunity to celebrate the many benefits of yoga. So for all, you experienced yogis and beginners why not try a local yoga class the benefits really are worth it.

Temple Yoga

Temple Yoga bring yoga to the heart of Lancaster at The Herbarium. Here all teachers are qualified to teach a broad range of yoga styles, suitable for people of every age and ability. If you are new to Yoga join a beginner’s course to get in the swing of developing a regular practice. Or if you are already a budding Yogi’s head to one of the more challenging classes to develop your practice. Plus keep an eye out for exciting workshops on the last Sunday of each month there is something for everyone.

Exhale Lancaster

Blue lotus Yoga

The blue lotus is a sacred flower, which represents the heightened awareness and tranquillity that yoga brings. Join Blue Lotus Yoga for a relaxing Yoga practice at Wytch Way on Thursdays 5.30 pm – 7.00 pm. Classes at Wytch Way are paid for the whole month in advance, equivalent to £7 a session. Yoga for Everyone

A balanced class that can be quite challenging, with flowing sequences, mindful meditations plus lots more. Everyone is welcome to this class, whatever your age, size, shape etc go along and find your ‘me’ time.

Bliss Yoga

Bliss Yoga offers Hatha, Ashtanga and Dynamic  Yoga classes in South Lancaster every week at Scotforth Parish Hall, Lancaster. The venue is close to both Lancaster University and the University of Cumbria and all abilities are very welcome. Private Sessions are also available on request. Plus you can enjoy various workshops which usually take place about 3 times a year.
