Day 1


Lancaster On Ice

This winter something special is coming to Lancaster… The historic garden of Dalton Square will be transformed into an Ice Rink as Lancaster on Ice comes to town. So get your skating boots on and take to the ice with your loved one it will be as romantic as it looks in the movies. Whilst your there check out the Christmas markets, you are sure to feel like you’re in a winter wonderland.


Catch a show

Head to one of Lancaster’s Theatres and see a fabulous show. If you are looking for something Christmassy The Dukes have the magical Peter Pan on stage and Robin Hood and his merry men will trying to outwit the evil Sheriff of Nottingham at The Grand. There are also a range of other performances throughout the winter months which you can find on The Dukes and The Grand websites.

Dinner and cocktails at the Crypt…

It’s time to treat yourself this festive season so why not try the new Iconic bar, The Crypt, situated in the historical Royal Kings Arms. Serving a selection of over 70 Champagnes and wines and a traditional cocktail list created exclusively for The Crypt by world renowned Mixologist Colin Griffiths. Using locally sourced and fresh ingredients the kitchen team have also put together a variety of dishes to complete the experience which you can also try.

After all that shopping I’m sure you will want to sit down for a break. Why not head to Greaves Park and try their Festive spin on a Traditional Afternoon Tea. The festive option includes:

Cosy up for the evening in front of the fire

Pop into the Toll House Inn this was the former site of the Corporation Toll House, collecting levies from traders on their way to market in Lancaster. Here you can enjoy a well-deserved festive tipple in front of their open fire. Order yourself one of their exclusive real ales to go. They brew up to six different ales each month, so you can try a different one. If you prefer wine instead, they have an extensive menu which will not disappoint.
