Over the ‘spooky season’ we take a look at one of England’s most famous stories of witchcraft and the part Lancaster played in fate of the notorious ‘Pendle Witches’.

Our public walking tours normally depart from Lancaster Castle’s main entrance – the John O’Gaunt Gatehouse – and last around 2 hours.

As the nights get darker, join us on an evening tour exploring the sinister side of Lancaster’s past with tales of ghosts, executions & murders most foul!
These tours depart from Lancaster Castle’s main entrance – the John O’Gaunt Gatehouse – and last around 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the group and the questions asked.
Tickets – £8:00 per person [+fee]
Due to the nature of some of the stories it is not recommended that children under 16 years of age attend these tours.
