Peterloo Evening and Concert

Peterloo and Lancaster: the Castle’s Radical Prisoners

Join the Judges Lodgings to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massache with two special events:

Lecture and refreshments by Robert Poole

Peterloo and Lancaster: the Castle’s Radical Prisoners – this is a talk to be given by Robert Poole, one of the leading experts on Peterloo and historical consultant to the Peterloo bicentenary commemoration programme.  Robert says “There is lots to say about the various Peterloo-related trials, and indeed about the experience of prisoners in the castle. Radical prisoners generated a lot of complaints.”  Robert has brought out a new book on the subject Peterloo The English Uprising, which he will perhaps bring with him and offer a signing session.  Book via sue widden
