27 September 2022 and 26 February 2023 – Hinge of Fate Exhibition
Lancaster City Museum Free admission Open Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm | ||
25 September 2022 – Wartime Cookery with Morecambe Women’s Institute Using 1940s ration recipes, WI archives and contemporary newspapers, WI volunteers will recreate ration recipes and re-enact the wartime cookery demonstrations that were held near the museum in 1942. | ||
16 October 2022- Lancaster Music Festival – ENSA Event Market Square The festival team has worked with young people to create a participatory ENSA-style event. | ||
4-5 November 2022 – Light Up Lancaster and Sandylands Primary School Local children will work with an artist, creating light art on the theme of Remembrance for Light Up Lancaster festival. | ||
Ongoing – Global Link education charity People seeking sanctuary will participate in a digital storytelling workshop, creating a film telling the story of a refugee to Lancaster in 1942, which will feature in the exhibition. | ||
Ongoing- The Dukes Theatre ‘Eating for Victory’ The Dukes Theatre team will work with young people, where they will taste and discuss ration recipes, made by the WI. The outputs from this activity will be decided by the young people taking part. |
