Student City Guide – Lancaster
Lancaster is a fantastic city to experience student life.
As we all know this year is turning out to be a little different to normal but a warm welcome still awaits you in Lancaster and here’s our practical guide to help you make the most of your time studying in our city.
Stay safe in Lancaster – Guidance and Support
Here are some simple actions we must all do to keep on protecting each other when we’re out and about in the city:
- Wash hands – keep washing your hands regularly
- Cover face – wear a face covering in enclosed spaces
- Make space – stay at least a metre apart
Although the new local lockdown restrictions (from Tuesday 22 September) will limit who you can spend time with, there are still plenty of opportunities to experience this amazing city responsibly within your households and support bubbles whilst adhering to these new restrictions:
- Socialise (in indoor and outdoor venues) only with those from your own household or bubble
- Only use public transport for essential purposes, such as travelling to your place of education or work
- Please do not attend (amateur and semi-professional) sporting events as a spectator
- Also please note:
- Leisure and entertainment venues, including restaurants, pubs, and cinemas, will be closed between 10pm and 5am
