When you come to Lancaster, a trip to The Quarterhouse Lancaster is highly recommended! This is a gorgeous independent and chef-owned kitchen & bar in the centre of Lancaster that serves incredible brunch, small plates and sharers.

We spoke to James from The Quarthouse this week to find out more about his and Alan’s fabulous business, and here’s what he said:

What was the inspiration behind starting The Quarterhouse?

Myself and Alan had been working together for some time. We both wanted to start our own restaurant and a few years ago we started to look at businesses for sale in Lancaster. We spotted The Red Peppercorn up for sale and we thought it was a superb location.

What sets The Quarterhouse apart?

We use lots of local, independent suppliers and offer a small plates menu which enables us to showcase our skills and knowledge of a different kind of menu.

What can we expect from The Quarterhouse in the coming months?

In the next upcoming months, you can expect an exciting small plates festive menu and in the new year, we’re looking forward to doing more Quarterhouse collaborations with local chefs and businesses.
