The Little Crooked House

Welcome to the historic Lancaster Quay and the Little Crooked House where right angles are not quite 90 degrees and the horizontal is a novelty. A sea captain, used to the listing decks whilst at sea, built his wonky on-shore home some 250 years ago. So beware, shipmates, you may need to adjust your gait to accommodate our sloping floors.
A leaning Listed Building in a beautiful Conservation area, 5 minutes from centre! You won’t be disappointed…

Lancaster’s iconic Wonky House, on Lancaster City Quay: With floor levels listed to port, this little home sleeps up to five sleeping beauties! Rooms have views over the ever changing River Lune and the rolling Quay Meadows at the back. A short stroll from not only the Lancaster Castle, Priory and city centre but also a riverside walk to the supermarket. The house is located in a central, location – near all public transport, a network of cycle routes and has pot-luck parking! With three pubs in spitting distance and one of the best restaurants in Lancaster a few doors down, What more could you possibly want?
